The Brief

Cream was commissioned to inject some life into social media for Barnsley’s Alhambra Shopping Centre.

Cream's Approach

Cream worked with the management team at the centre to get to know both the retailers and customers and develop a clear social media strategy. The team applied its extensive knowledge of the local area and understanding of how consumers act on Facebook, Twitter Google+ and Pinterest to gain new followers, build interactions and influence.

Results

Cream’s social media services boosted The Alhambra Centre’s Facebook fans by 2600 in just seven months. Engagement increased more than ten-fold and the Alhambra found its audience regularly interacting with the centre and one another; creating a true online community.  The Centre’s Twitter following grew steadily and consistently attracting an average of 30 new followers every month, and placing the Alhambra in the top five Yorkshire based shopping centres on social media.
