PR strategy for Barnsley based manufacturer

Cutting Technologies

Case Study

“Our profile improves daily, direct website activity has doubled, we’ve been shortlisted for many awards and even our competitors are talking about and to us.”

Martin Cook – Managing Director Cutting Technologies Limited

Brief

Cutting Technologies, a successful manufacturing company, appointed Cream to help it explore new creative markets.

We devised and delivered a creative multi-channel campaign to showcase Cutting Technologies’ prestigious work.

Our ongoing brief is to manage the brand profile and position Cutting Technologies as a state of the art laser cutting and engraving business.

Cream's Approach

We introduced Cutting Technologies to journalists and, in turn, to new customers. We used a combination of compelling press releases, photography, film and media interviews to introduce and re-introduce the company to its stakeholders.

We even co managed a six week laser-cut art exhibition which attracted national media attention and was applauded by Design Week.

We continue to work as an extension the Cutting Technologies team.

Results

Turnover increased 20% during the initial PR campaign period and Cutting Technologies received coverage in The Guardian, The Times, BBC News as well as specialist publications such as Architects Choice and DABS.

Cutting Technologies now has a national profile and one of its directors is a regular contributor to BBC, ITV and Sky News. Cutting Technologies has won a string of national and regional business awards and last year director Jane Robinson was named one of the Top 100 Role Models in manufacturing by The Manufacturer magazine. The company is expanding, its order book remains busy and Cream continues to support Cutting Technologies with all aspects of its PR and marketing communications.
