Cream was hired by Leeds City Council to act as part of the extended University Technical College team and provide dedicated PR and media relations support ahead of the opening of the unique new school.
Cream developed key messages and identified how best to reach key audiences. Cream used its network of media contacts to share those messages and engage with parents, students, businesses and stakeholders.
Cream reached more than 2.7 million people through print media alone. Broadcast coverage on Look North and BBC Radio Leeds reached another million people.
School places were filled in a matter of weeks and the UTC’s recruitment drive is being held up as an example of good practice by the Baker Dearing Educational Trust.
