Redfern Coordinates Travel for Top Trade Union
Bradford-based Redfern is now working with one of the largest trade unions in the UK to provide top quality business travel support.
Following a competitive tendering process, Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) appointed Redfern to provide easier booking and better value services for its representatives and members.
Operational throughout the civil service and government agencies, PCS is the UK’s largest civil service trade union.
Redfern’s state of the art tRIPS booking and management system is now providing PCS with round-the-clock access to rail, hotel and ground transport.
Kate Wimpeney, Chief Operating Officer at Redfern said: “Businesses from a range of sectors including retail, financial and healthcare have appointed Redfern this past year to drive maximum value from their travel budgets while ensuring traveller safety.
“Redfern is helping its customers to drive down the cost of business travel and make business travel as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.”
Jeff Evans, Director of Central Services at PCS, said: “We were looking for a travel management company to make it easier to book services and greater value for money. Redfern’s unique technology and straightforward approach impressed us greatly.”
Training events for staff, groups and branch treasurers in each region/nation have also been organised by PCS with Redfern’s help.
Redfern was acquired by international CTM Group in December 2016.
