REDFERN STRENGTHENS TEAM WITH KEY APPOINTMENT
Yorkshire-based Travel Management Company Redfern has made a key appointment as it looks to further expand its diverse portfolio of clients.
Louise Hutchinson-Chambers joins Redfern as Head of Account Management following a long and successful career at Thomas Cook which spanned almost 25 years. Louise held a number of senior management positions, which included heading up the Customer Legal function for almost 15 years and a number of project management, sales and commercial roles.
Louise also spent a period of time on secondment in London working alongside Thomas Cook’s Group Chief Executive delivering and managing a portfolio of projects as part of an extensive transformation programme. Most recently, Louise worked for niche travel lawyers, mb LAW, based in Leeds where she was Head of Health and Safety and Incident Management.
Her appointment comes as Redfern continues to invest in business development to facilitate further growth.
Last year the Bradford-based company, which now employs 105 people, appointed Daniel Phillips as Head of Sales. Since Dan’s arrival from Regus, Redfern has increased its private sector client base adding household names such as Holland and Barrett, Skipton Building Society and Hallmark Cards.
Redfern Chief Executive Mark Bowers said: “We are investing in the very best people to help drive Redfern forward.
“Coupled with our continual investment in technology, we are committed to ensuring our clients get the absolute best service and value from their relationship with Redfern. It’s a pleasure to welcome Louise to the Redfern team.”
Louise added: “I am extremely excited to be joining the Redfern team at such an important time, as the business continues with its growth and expansion. I am very much looking forward to leading and developing the Account Management team and delivering a ‘best in class’ service for all of our customers.”
Redfern, which books more than 12,000 rail tickets a day for more than 500 customers, has been growing at a rapid rate in recent years. Redfern handles a transaction every three seconds and is the nominated supplier of UK travel management to the UK and Scottish governments.
In the past four years Redfern has saved the Treasury an estimated £20m by providing more cost-effective and efficient travel.
